Sociology and Psychology double major Em Eveland ’24 conducted an in-depth content analysis of LGBTQ+ college resource centers for their senior capstone project, ‘Supporting Queer Students: An Analysis of LGBT Resource Center Programming. Their study compared public and private institutions and found that though center advertising on Instagram was similar across the various colleges and universities, private colleges tended to have a more explicitly queer, and therefore political, outlook.
