Sociology major Daisha Quezada ’24 conducted an in-depth content analysis of US news media reporting on housing development and gentrification in Puerto Rico. By focusing on the five years before and after Hurricane Maria, Daisha was able to better understand the ways in which left- and right-leaning sources characterized the vulnerability and resiliency of the island and its inhabitants.
