In her senior capstone project, Abigail Herb, class of 2024, conducted a content analysis of horror film trailers made before and after the sensational ‘Satanic Panic’ of the 1980s. She found that, over time, films tended to invoke anthropomorphized representations of Satan and focus more on religion and the divine.
