After completion of data collection and analysis, there were a few themes that displayed how political bias changed the media portrayal of Critical Race Theory (CRT). First theme that was found was the use of academic references or citations. Second theme is discussions on Critical Race Theory being opinion based or informative. Third theme found was that Critical Race Theory is a misunderstood topic. These themes provide an understanding of how media bias in online written media can differ when taking into consideration political bias, specifically when discussing Critical Race Theory. It also shows how it is important to look into academic sources when looking for information in order to be well informed on different subjects. In these findings, it is clear that base understanding can be found on topics in some news media, however, more often than not, opinion bias takes precedence over what the public hears rather than informational facts.
