The theoretical framework that my research proposal revolves around is particularly on gender inequality. A popular gender theorist that I drew from was Judith Butler. Butler’s work has influenced political philosophy, ethics, and the fields of third-wave feminism and queer theory. One of her works, Gender Trouble, Butler discusses the debates on the socially constructed character of gender, with psychoanalysis and feminism (Butler:1998).
