While the research question aimed to discover differences between the types of programs offered by LGBT Resource Centers at public versus private schools, the reality was that the data showed that these centers were actually more similar than they were different. Very similar events were found being offered by very different schools. The formatting and tone of the posts was fairly consistent across all of the schools. And overall, the Resource Centers positioned themselves as primarily spaces for community building and social support rather than spaces for hard-hitting advocacy and activism.
