About the Author
With a degree in sociology, my short-term career goals include exploring the non-profit sector, where I can actively contribute to community development and social change. I secured a position within a non-profit organization, where I plan to utilize my understanding of societal structures and dynamics to address pressing issues such as poverty, education inequality, and social justice. I am particularly interested in dedicating my time to invoking change within my hometown. Through hands-on experience, I aspire to refine my skills in program development, community outreach, and advocacy.
In the long term, I envision ascending within the non-profit sector to eventually attain the role of Executive Director. This position would grant me the opportunity to shape organizational strategy, establish meaningful partnerships, and lead initiatives. Ultimately, I aspire to establish my own non-profit organization. This venture would be dedicated to empowering women, first-generation, and low-income students, providing them with the resources and support necessary to overcome systemic barriers and achieve their academic and professional aspirations. Through these endeavors, I am driven to effect positive social change and contribute to the collective pursuit of an inclusive society.
