As cancel culture becomes increasingly prevalent, there are ways that influencers can create an environment that is inclusive and accepting for everyone. Popular British influencers have created a platform that continuously makes audiences feel welcomed (Morris and Anderson 2015). Influencers are so caught up in creating a self- image that fits the norm, or stereotypes of how they should act and dress, which can create an unwelcoming space for audiences that do not align with those norms. Creating a space where an individual can act as their true self, and not be caught up in what others think, helps create a space that makes others feel comfortable and confident in their own skin (Morris and Anderson 2015). As a society, there are norms and expectations for the way one should dress, behave and communicate that influencers give off, and can have a direct correlation with the way they are perceived by their audience.
