This topic can be expanded upon in the future by looking at a larger sample size of mukbang YouTubers and comments, or by looking at a longer timeframe for which the videos were uploaded to YouTube. Additionally, a major expansion of this research would be to include male mukbang YouTubers in the study. This could allow for comparison of the rhetorics that are spread by audiences based on both gender and weight. This would offer a more complex outlook on how weight affects the opinion of audiences. This research is not limited to mukbang YouTubers as well and could be expanded by looking at audience reactions toward different body types in mostly any media type that allows audiences to comment directly to the creator.
