My name is Mike Galos and I am currently a Senior at Gettysburg College. I am a Sociology major and a business minor and will be graduating in May 2024. This website demonstrates to topic of my research project which is the analyzation of political bias on the portrayal of athletes anti-vaccine sentiments in news media sources.

Short Term Goals

  • Initially after graduation, my focus is on landing an entry-level position. I’m actively looking for companies that align with what I want to do, and fixing up my resume to highlight experiences in the classroom, as well as the internship I had last summer. Networking has also been one of my priorities in recent months, as I’ve been connecting with alumni and plan on continuing to do so until I find a position where I fit in well. I’m also using recent interviews as practice to build up my skills if the position does not seem to fit my goals, which also builds on effectively selling myself and my abilities, which is crucial for a career in sales.

Long Term Goals

  • Looking ahead, I’m looking to set myself up long-term with growth in the sales industry. I’m particularly drawn to roles in industries such as technology and software, where I feel like I can make an impact. Once I secure my first sales role, I would like to consistently exceed expectations and develop professionally in order to gain bigger and better opportunities. My goal is to progress into a managerial role within the next five years, and possibly lead my own sales team. These goals will guide the direction I want to go in as I transition from a college student to a full time employee, setting a solid foundation for a solid career in sales.
