As I collected my quantitative and qualitative data, many themes emerged. These themes consisted of empowerment, encouragement and envy, eating and exercise and body size and public perception. Seeing how influencers were treated differently throughout my research due to their body type was an apparent trend as there were both positive and negative comments for each body type. Heavier, average and thinner body types all received positive and negative feedback but the most noticeable trend I found was how average body types were more accepted than the other two body types. These three themes highlighted how the public perceived these influencers and how it affected how they felt about their own self-image.
